Center Head Start Policy Council

 

The Center Head Start Program relies heavily on families and community members to strengthen its governing bodies.

The Center Head Start Policy Council is made up of parents and community members alike. Policy Council members, have broad authority and review over program goals; policies, including the establishment of enrollment criteria; the hiring and termination of staff; budgeting; and fundraising.

How does one become a PC Member?

Parent members are elected by a majority vote at the first parent meeting of the school year. One parent and one alternate are chosen from each classroom. Community members are selected and nominated by the Policy Council. Contanct us for more information.
